Hardening of the Heart

P.S.  I also notice that several times Pharaoh's heart was hardened when God was good to him:

• when Pharaoh asked that the frogs might be taken away, and the Lord granted his request, "when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and did not heed them" (Ex. 8.15)
• "when Pharaoh saw that the rain, the hail, and the thunder had ceased, he sinned yet more; and he hardened his heart, he and his servants" (Ex. 9.34)
